Interesting to see Barker taking a lead role here. I'm wracking my brain as I also swear I've seen this exact premise already somewhere before. Regardless, no doubt he has built up tremendous credit with Obsession all around. I'm looking forward to see what comes of this. Would love a resurgence of the low finance true horror story telling movies. Creativity and essence over flash and effects is something this genre needs above all else, IMO.

Had to Google it. I was thinking of Grave Encounters. Another low budget early 2010s horror flick. Kinda same premise. It's a paranormal crew who does a ghost hunting show but they don't believe in any of it and are just milking the fad. Until they go to the place where it is real and bad things happen. It's a found footage type movie. I remember liking it a lot. Used to be a big fan of those type of shows.

Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to this new one. See what Barker's spin on it will be.
