I'm a little confused by this, seeing as people are *already* coming back to theaters in droves, especially as evident by this month's box office.
Theater going in 2022 was down 30% to 2019, pre-pandemic. It just so happens that 30% fewer movies were also released in theaters in 2022, as compared to 2019. Which likely tells us that it's a supply issue, not a demand issue. Now, sure enough, more movies are already being released in 2023, compared to 2022, and attendance/demand already seems to be increasing/matching the supply.
And they've been solid, entertaining movies at that.
In other words, make good movies and audiences will almost certainly show.
