I did. He's okay in it. He's never bad per se, he just doesn't have that charisma or charm of a Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum, Ryan Reynolds, etc.

Bingo. Bullet Train was a crap movie, but that role gave me a small glimpse of what he'd be like as a dapper, suave assassin type.

And I think the fact that he doesn't have an outsized personality and doesn't necessarily stand out in his roles to date will work in his favor as Bond. You don't want an actor for Bond who's already established himself in other standout roles. That would be too distracting when you're trying to watch him as James Bond.

I love Mescal so much. Aftersun was outstanding, and I found myself thinking about it every day afterward for weeks.

I really need to see Aftersun. It's next on my list after White Noise.

Was Aftersun a theatrical release? Never even saw a trailer for that.
