If it happens, and it sounds like it very well might, I don't see it lasting long. This isn't writers demanding a bigger piece of the pie, or actors wanting better back-end deals, etc. These are some of the most mistreated and under appreciated people in the industry simply demanding they no longer be treated like sh*t. They're not asking for much, just basic living wages, no more insane hours, etc. And in today's cancel culture, the big-wigs can't afford to be seen treating assistants and other low-man-on-the-totem-pole types as horribly as they do, if all of this were to really come to light, never mind literally not being able to afford the work stoppage in the wake of a global pandemic.

You should let Nintendo know that only people from Italian backgrounds are allowed to voice Mario. That would probably be helpful to them since the guy that has voiced Mario since 1992 is not of Italian decent.

I love Chris Pratt and will wait to see how this turns out. He should be able to play a caricature of an Italian plumber because he IS a minority in Hollywood, being an outspoken Christian.

Honestly, I don't see a losing direction here.

This feels more like a 'Lego Movie' vibe that's meant to be a little ridiculous (Will Arnett 'Batman'-esque) and makes fun of itself and the quirks from the original video game.

Do I picture Jack Black as Bowzer? No. But I'm probably gonna laugh my ass off at it. Tribute....
