Finished a big update to the OP today, added a ton of titles to the release calendar, fixed a few others, etc. I maintain the OP mainly for myself, so I can keep track of everything, but it's always there in case anyone finds it handy, as I keep it updated best I can in real-time.
As we finally enter 2021, with theater-going hopefully back to some semblance of (a new) normal by summer, the second half of the year could be one of the most exciting times for movies in a long while. Not just because we'll finally have movie-going back in-full, and can celebrate that in and of itself, but because there are so many potentially awesome movies on the horizon, waiting for release, and once the vaccine finally breaks the dam, it's going to be insane.
And I cannot wait.
Honestly not trying to pick a fight or argument, asking a legit questionTCTTS....when you say, "once the vaccine finally breaks the dam...", what do you mean?
That's such a vague statement, and as we've seen since the beginning of the pandemic, its those types of statements that are used as a dangling carrot on a stick to keep people hoping for a return to normal while in reality the goalposts keep getting pushed further back.
I'm not accusing you of doing that, for God's sake I know you're just posting your opinion on TA, lol. Rather, I'm asking you to quantify that statement based on your opinion (being in the industry) what that means.
Is there criteria set for when the studios will let the flood gates loose and release movies into theaters?
Are they simply waiting for Cuomo and Newsome to decide that theaters can reopen?
