Just posted a major update to the OP.

Seeing as the summer movie season has now come to an end, Oscar season unofficially begins this week with the Venice Film Festival, and with all the Disney titles announced at D23 this weekend (along with the announcement of a fourth Matrix movie earlier this week), I felt the need to round out the OP and get things in order for the 2019 Oscar push (that, and I needed a mindless task while savoring the first day of college football). So here's everything I've done...

- Added all remaining/notable 2019 releases.

- Added all newly announced Disney releases through 2022, including all Disney+ series that correspond to / are part of a bigger cinematic franchise (only included in the franchise sections toward the bottom).

- Added graphics for each year and logos for all the franchise sections toward the bottom.

- Cleaned up the OP to make it more mobile friendly.

In other words, every major release from now until 2022 (and beyond) is listed in the OP, organized and presented in a unique, easy-to-reference way, all in one place. Yes, I'm a freak when it comes to release dates, but I'd do something like this for my own use (though not quite as extensive) so I might as well take it one step further and share it with you guys. Hopefully it proves to be a helpful resource...

While knocking out 2019, I was also curious to know when all the Oscar contenders and buzzed about titles for the remainder of the year are making their festival debuts, again, with the Venice Film Festival kicking off this week and the Toronto Film Festival immediately following. I did this mostly for myself, but figured I'd share this as well, since this will be when each of these titles first plays for an audience and Twitter reactions will start dropping. I agree. When his tick happens in that trailer it almost sounds like his character from "The Score".

I read that today and it does seem crazy. Like...so much can happen in 20 years to ruin this plan.

Exactly. I get anxious just thinking about the logistics and everything that could go wrong.

The structure sounds amazing, though. The movie starts out 20 years from now, and it's apparently about the main character reflecting back on his life, in reverse chronological order. So they're shooing the END of the movie first, with the characters the ages they are now. And then by the time they get to the parts they're filming 20 years from now, that'll be the stuff that OPENS the movie.

So wild.

As for his NASA project, I've been curious myself. I have no idea what happened. As far as I know it started filming, but maybe it fell apart?

A good friend of mine was recently visited by someone who works for Linklater about a documentary he's apparently working on. Sounds like he always has a few projects going at once but wonder if the NASA film is still on in that case
