What's always been shocking to me is how quickly the movie was made. The full book hadn't been available for more than a year and a half before the movie was released.

VO work is really weird as you'll get celebs attached to animated projects as a "star" and paid massive amounts of money while other people in the project get pennies. And I get that someone like Steve Carrel on Despicable Me is worth a lot, but they also replaced Adam Sandler in Hotel Transylvania 4 and I literally couldn't tell.

Also not like Disney is hurting for cash.
