Maybe it's just the trailer, but that looked like it was shot as if it was a spoof of a western only they never showed anything funny. Does that make sense? It kept reminding me of "casa de mi Padre".
I know exactly what you mean. I kept waiting for a record scratch or for someone to yell "Cut!" like it was a movie being made within a movie.
