This is a good two/three week run of releases. Saw Drop tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to the Amateur and Warfare this weekend.

Hell yeah. I keep hearing that Drop is a ton of fun and a great theater experience. Between it, the other two, Sinners next weekend, and The Accountant 2 the weekend after that, we went from nothing to suddenly having to keep up with an onslaught.

yes, i wasn't aware of how much I wanted to see a sequel to the Accountant until i saw the preview. Going to be fun.

saw the Amateur this evening. Darn good flick.

Apparently they showed some Project Hail Mary footage at Cinemacon. Any guesses when/ if that will be released? March 2026 release.

Yeah, I've seen numerous attendees saying the footage was jaw dropping and then ranking it as the best trailer at CinemaCon. Unfortunately, the movie is still 11 months away, so we probably won't see a trailer for ourselves until June or July at the earliest? I guess there's a remote possibility we could get a teaser next week with The Accountant 2, seeing as both are Amazon theatrical releases, but I would be shocked. Instead, my guess is that it'll be sometime in the Jurassic World/Superman/Fantastic Four July window, but who knows for sure.

Thanks! Was surprised they showed anything but I guess this was their only cinemacon to promote it, so that makes sense.

TC - any reason why a theater won't show trailers before a movie? Went to see Warfare and Drop this weekend and neither showing had trailers before the movie

This was in Oklahoma City so not sure if it was local or just an individual theater decision

That's really odd. The only times I know of when trailers don't play beforehand are at movie premieres and then sometimes for showings in 70mm or 70mm IMAX, when the movie is on a separate projector from from the digital projector the trailers usually play on, and theaters can't switch between projectors fast enough to justice it. That said, neither Warfare nor Drop were in 70mm, so I have no idea.

This will no doubt be super weird, but man what a cast...
