and I feel like I've seen the best series in the history of television. It's depressing because I don't know if I'll find any series that I'll enjoy as much as I've enjoyed Raylan and Boyd. Should I stop watching TV? Is there any hope for me?

Still find myself wishing there were new episodes to watch two years after finishing the series. Just an amazingly well-written show. Great characters and fantastic dialogue.

I've been rewatching both Deadwood and Justified lately and damn it good. I forgot how much of a crossover there is and some of the funny nuances to the Justified writing. Like how they have a prostitute named Trixie in season 2 or how they use the names of The Ticket personalities later on.

One of those shows that I wish I could watch again for the first time.

I'd like to watch Justified for the first time. Is it on tv still? Netflix?

Going through it the 2nd time so the gf can see it's greatness (and plenty of eye candy for us both).

It's in my Top 5 shows of all time, and I'd say probably the best dialogue of any show.

Completely disagree. SOA started out decent and quickly went downhill. The last two seasons were painful to slog through.

Make sure you don't watch it with anyone you respect. The language is atrocious and offensive and so ****ing awesome. Only watch it someone you would consider a ****sucker.

Justified was such a great show.

Each season had it's own story arc with a "bad guy" that Raylan goes after. However, the main villain of the entire series is Boyd Crowder. And he is one of the greatest villainous characters in TV history. His interactions with Raylan are just electrifying. You simply cannot look away when he's on screen.

Not to take away from Timothy Olyphant as Raylan Givins. He is such a great personification of an Elmore Leonard protagonist.

This series also ended with one of my favorite endings ever:

"We dug coal together."
"That's right."

Just so good.

Before the final episode, we were guessing at just how Raylan would kill Boyd and would Boyd kill Ava, etc.....

But the writers had something much better in store for us. A perfect ending.

The Bennett storyline was going to be hard to top. But you're right in that Mags was the best antagonist in the series. Mr. Quarrels was decent until he went off the ****ing rails.

Lymehouse was also one of my favorite.

I'm not sure who the writers were in either show(except for the P1) but the writing was very similar.

I honestly never really thought of Lymehouse as an antagonist in the show. Sure he had a bit of a history where he had done some stuff, but he was basically the money man, mediator/middleman, and information broker when we saw him. To me Lymhouse was a one of the gray characters, granted he was one of the darker shades of gray (no pun). That's what made him an interesting character to me. He had no problem working with the outlaws, but when called for and when it benefitted him would make a deal with the white hats. Same with Wynn Duffy. Both of which ended up making it through the series when most of the outlaws and their allies ended up on the floor.

Iirc, by the time we saw him he was basically just looking forward out for his people in Nobles and wanted largely nothing to do with people outside of Nobles. Especially after Quarrels.

Started it last night, got through 4 eps. Enjoying it so far. Always assumed it was set in the old west based on the Amazon prime thumbnails. Was shocked with the opening scene in Miami.

Only weakness in the show was Michael Rapaport and the Crowe's in Season 6. Dewey Crowe excepted of course.
