I just don't see how you'd pull off a love interest for Rey other than Kylo Ren and not have all kinds of complaints about it just because of the power dynamic. It has PROBLEMATIC written all over it.

That's actually why I was kind of surprised that the next two biggest characters (after Rey and Kylo) were both male. It would have been a lot easier to pull off a romantic angle between secondary characters than between the secondary characters and the main characters. But then that itself might have also seemed like a ripoff from the originals.

Put another way, the best chance for a romantic angle would have been for Poe Dameron to be female.

You can't go wrong with either. I'm aiming for IMAX, but if I have to "settle" for Dolby, I won't complain. The picture in Dolby has better contrast and the sound is amazing.

what is the Ghost? I checked the twitter feed of the video TC posted and someone posted a screen shot of the fleet scene and people are saying the ghost is to the right of the falcon and going nuts

This shot really does give me hope that the final battle in this could rival that of the final battle in Endgame...

In all seriousness, for whatever reason, this comment made realize that the sequel trilogy so far is missing one big element the past two trilogies featured heavily... romance. Anakin/Padme, Han/Leia. Yes, that element was handled horribly in the prequels, obviously, but without it so far the sequel trilogy has felt weirdly androgynous and sterile. Sure, there was Finn/Rose in TLJ, but that was a single kiss that basically came out of no where and it's pretty apparent Finn doesn't share Rose's romantic feelings. So I wonder if TROS will dip a toe in those waters or not? I've just never really had anything to latch onto with these new characters and some kind of romantic relationship would have gone long way toward that.

There's Reylo, of course, which will be addressed in some small way in TROS, it sounds like, but obviously not acted upon. There's Rey/Poe, which was maybe kind of sort of hinted at at the end of TLJ. There's Rey/Finn, seeing as Finn was clearly into Rey when they first met (asking if she had a boyfriend). And then there's Finn/Poe, of course, which we all know won't actually happen. None of those really make much sense, so it might be moot at this point, but overall it's just weird that they've left this element out completely so far, seeing as it was such a big part of the last two trilogies.

I thought they had set up the Rey/Poe "I'm Rey/I Know" tip to Han/Leia to have the two of them have a romantic spark in this movie. Both know of each other, know the other is incredible at what they do, both driven to lead by example, etc.
