I just saw a clip of Dumb and Dumber, my all time favorite movie, and noticed a joke I had never noticed before. His watch in this scene is a "Casino" watch, a humorous knockoff of a Casio.



Hit me with some other funny examples of humor in the background, or funny set pieces or funny characters doing things that you don't notice at first. It always amuses me to see the depth to which the humor and set details are sometimes followed in movies.

community was GREAT at this. lots of examples, but the one that i immediately thought of was the entire "abed delivers a baby" story line that took place entirely in the background

Yesterday my kids were watching The Amazing Gumball (or whatever it is called) and the characters were in some alternate universe where the worst inventions got sent. Clippy (from MS Office) appeared and asked if they needed help with something. I laughed...my kids didn't.

Too many to count in Hot Fuzz. Aaron A Aaronson, Farmers and Farmer's Mums having guns, then basically everyone in the village except for Aaronson having a occupation for a last name (Baker, Miller, etc.) I feel like every time I see it I laugh at something new.
