I saw ot Thursday, and have been ruminating on it. The combat was awesome and i overall thoroughly enjoyed it, but some things were off. For some reason i just didnt care about T'Challa or Killmonger. Killmonger is just a murderous psychopath with dumb vengeful motivations. They focused so strongly about how he was skilled in destroying governments, I wish they had let him rule Wakanda longer to show that he only knew destruction and couldnt lead or build anything, or show his plan of world domination come together. It just seemed like "ooh we have cool toys, lets kill some people and make them fear us"
Also, all T'Challa had to do when Killmonger walked in is say, "Yes, he killed Klaue, because I caught him, and then Killmonger SHOT ME IN THE FACE WITH A GRENADE LAUNCHER AND TOOK HIM." then his honor guard cuts him up, scroll to credits.
All that said, Wakanda was beautiful, and more than any character in the movie I cared greatly for and loved Wakanda as a people, place, ideal. I live in Africa and so it was fun being in a theater of 95% Africans watching one of the most African (and definitely the most positive African off the top of my head) Hollywood movies ever was a blast.
