My favorite argument is that the movie is racist because it's named after the Black Panther organanization.

Never mind that Black Panther had been a comic book before the group had formed.

The moral of the story is don't listen to idiots on either side; this looks like a badass movie.

I was just coming to ask if we could gush about how amazing the red carpet was. It was beautiful.

Everyone was perfect. I saw the WaPo fashion critic throwing shade and was having none of it. Freaking awesome red carpet. It would be so cool if more movies had the premiere dress be in theme with the movie.

This cast in particular goes above and beyond anything I've seen. They threw a Coming to America themed party. I really hope there is a special feature dedicated to that party on the Blu Ray.

it could also be a big flop. If the movie is actually good, then it very well could broach the top 3. Need a LOT of repeat viewings to do that.

It's pretty much guaranteed to not be a flop at this point considering opening weekend projections and early buzz.

No way on Shaft/Pootie Tang. MAYBE Bad Boys, but I'm talking more of a proper blockbuster with heavy special effects, heavy action, mythology, a prominently black cast, etc. None of the above fit that criteria.
