I'm so confused at this point. Either way, someone not wanting to see the movie because of that sentiment is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

I care to disagree. Did you not see Black Dynamite. It was perfect.TCTTS said:

b/c some whites might identify as urban and we can't offend anyone, remember. There's a healthy urban population among some Asians, too.AgMarauder04 said:
Why doesn't he just say "black?"

Here are the rest of the best opening weekends in superhero movie history.
1. The Avengers - $207,438,708
2. Avengers: Age of Ultron - $191,271,109
3. Captain America: Civil War (Black Panther's first appearance in the MCU) - $179,139,142
4. Iron Man 3 - $174,144,585
5. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - $166,007,347
it could also be a big flop. If the movie is actually good, then it very well could broach the top 3. Need a LOT of repeat viewings to do that.TCTTS said:Quote:

I could see this potentially eclipsing Civil War's $179M. Heck, part of me thinks there's such an x-factor that it could even beat Age of Ultron, but I'm not ready to go there quite yet.
It's pretty much guaranteed to not be a flop at this point considering opening weekend projections and early buzz.PatAg said:it could also be a big flop. If the movie is actually good, then it very well could broach the top 3. Need a LOT of repeat viewings to do that.TCTTS said:Quote:

Remember kids a black man can play up a stereotypical white Jew with the proper amount of whiteface, but a white man can't play a black man in blackface.
It's not my fault no one seems to have a sense of humor anymore. The Debt said:Urban Ag said:

No way on Shaft/Pootie Tang. MAYBE Bad Boys, but I'm talking more of a proper blockbuster with heavy special effects, heavy action, mythology, a prominently black cast, etc. None of the above fit that criteria.Cibalo said:how quickly we forget about Shaft, Bad Boys, and Pootie TangTCTTS said:
