I actually didn't think this movie was going to happen. It's been so long since Bill and Ted and I figured it's one of those things that just wasn't going to actually come to fruition. I feel like these pictures are basically nothing, but I'm so happy to see them. These pics feel like the first sign this is going to be a thing. I feel like we all owe Keanu for making this happen, the guy can do whatever he wants, and he chose to let us have Bill and Ted.

All I want is to hear Bill say at some point is "Bill S. Preston, esquire...I'm a lawyer" or "Bill S. Preston, esquire...legally I have to tell you I'm not a lawyer" or "Bill S. Preston, paralegal."

I don't even care if the movie is good; I just want them to have fun making it.

I'm probably the last person in the world still subscribing to a magazine, but GQ did a spread recently on Keanu that was really good.

The most amazing thing about Keanu is that he went from being a joke to an icon at least in part because he's such an awesome dude. The stories about him giving his money from the Matrix to the crew, the memes of him riding subway trains and sitting on park benches feeding ducks, etc., all made him something of a Hollywood counter-culture darling. The anti-Narcissus or something.

People used to love to trash his acting. And now, maybe it still is bad, I don't know, but no one would dare say so.

I don't think he took the money and then gifted it to them so much as he took less than his asking price so that they could put that money into the Matrix graphics team. It was an investment for sure because I'm sure he's got a producer credit and back-end money out of that series, but he took less than he could have demanded so that they could properly pay a full team over the trilogy. That's my understanding. I think he did the same thing to get Al Pacino hired on Devil's Advocate.

Maybe I missed it in this thread, but why is K Reeves doing this movie anyway? I can't see how he needs this.

Maybe he wants to have fun making a fun movie with some old friends before beginning his rigorous training and beard-growing for John Wick 4?

He and Wirth have been talking about doing this movie for years now. That he's taking the time to actually make it is amazing.

Cool trivia:

Samara Weaving plays Bill's daughter Thea in this movie.

Her uncle is "Agent Smith" himself, Hugo Weaving. Please let him have a surprise cameo.
