I've seen a few articles pop up about this upcoming series in the last few days and the cast as well the creator all caught my attention.

I hope it's good, because the setting is very interesting to me.

Will do my best to keep this short, but....

In August I got home from work at 5:15 one day and was headed to the vet with my dog. My daughters phone rang.
She threw it at my wife and said, "Cmon, Dad....we gotta go."

I looked at my wife and she gave me a look that told me not to leave yet.
My daughter had just signed with an agency and had done some auditions in LA. Her agent called and she had a call back at 10am in LA the next day.
We were literally headed to Houston in 5 minutes and trying to get flights, etc.
When we got there we had a little time. I told her Susie had sent her some sides to read so let's check them out.

After checking her email she reads me the scenes. I was expecting something like "hey, Timmy, let's go get a malt" or some Nickelodeon type stuff.

She read a bit and I said, " that is poetry. Who wrote that? What is this?"
She said, "Taylor Sheridan"
"Wait....what?? He wrote my favorite movie last year. What is this??"
"It's a television series."
"And you are reading for the ranchers daughter?" ( on some flashback scenes)
"Yep."
"Who's the rancher?"
"Not sure. Some guy named Kevin Costner." She quickly googled and laid this on me....

"Oh, I know him! He's in Hidden Figures."

"Yep. He's definitely known for Hidden Figures, baby."

She obviously didn't get it, but it was as intense a process I could possibly imagine.
I haven't read much of it but what I did read was outstanding. Looking my forward to it.

Bump, starts Wednesday. Set the DVRs if you haven't already....
