I can't believe people are *****ing.

Fog of war. It was all hopeless anyway. Dragons and Jon/danaeris can't see, worried about freaking Spears, basically taken out of the fight by nk tactics. Smart. They did their best, didn't affect the outcome much, so be it. They tried.

Everybody had to fight and die to make the nk think he'd won and gloat. It was all on getting someone to sneak up on him.

Ultimately it worked.

Really enjoyable episode.

IMO, the main reason people are disappointed is because they've bought into a lot of their own fan theories. George RR Martin never even had the Night King as a character in the books outside of a fairy tale. Yeah, the white walkers were a thing, but the vast majority of what has made up the show is the battles between these families. Only a handful of episodes have involved the Night King and the army of the dead.

Based on this thread I think a lot of people need to get glasses. I was able to follow the whole thing on my WalMart black friday special LG, no problems at all.

I wasn't disappointed in the episode, but I do wish Jon was able to fight the NK hand to hand if only for a bit.

great episode - i'd rather have it end with epic war "all humans" vs "all zombies" but great episode nonetheless. i didn't think arya was gonna be the one to kill the nk.

I'm glad the Night king and wights are all dead.

They were only like 10% of this show.

The show was about the characters who are left, and their quest r the throne. It's ending how it should.

Turns on the Night Kong's whole purpose to the plot was to just be a thorn in Dany's side bc without that battle she wins the throne way too easily.

Now it's at least even vs the golden company + Greyjoy.

The most bad ass people had no actual battling. The ones who did were just showed slashing through a few wights
lol a wight doesn't parry parry thrust thurst, in a sword fight, they just charge at you, you slash them and move to the next

This. They made it seem as if they chose this. That may be because the NK won't be featured in the books (unclear at this point since the books show them less than the show), or maybe GRRM hasn't written that specific piece, or maybe they just went their own way. They said they really just wanted to make people think it'd be Jon by focusing on him there toward the end.

Yea, was interested to hear after the episode that they had set it in their minds for years that Arya was going to kill the NK.
