I think that's the frustrating stereotype about this show. The early season were well written with shocking deaths that made sense. Sniping a dragon over long distance with an automatic spear gun with 3 straight shots is ridiculous

My biggest issue here is that the scorpion is a line of sight weapon, so Dany should have seen the Iron Fleet. She might not have been close enough to see the weapons, but she probably could have given her fleet a heads up right?
