Exactly! and why aren't his clothes ripped to shreds after the tendrils shoot out and back in? DUMB!

I was thinking today that graphically and aesthetically I think venom looked better in spider man 3, and that is on the worst body type imaginable of topher grace.

anyone notice in the trailer, instead of the typical marvel comic scroll, it just said "In association with Marvel?"

every Marvel property (MCU and non-MCU) has had the comic book page Marvel scroll.

Trailer was so bad it literally shut down my iPhone. But seriously I guess that trailer is slightly better but still doesn't excite me. Doesn't look like carnage looks like some weird cgi symbiote battle with the bad guy at the end. Just not digging the venom cgi in this.

That's not Carnage. It's some symbiote from the comics called Riot, which basically looks just like Venom

I don't think they roll out Carnage in this one. It would be a mistake in my opinion, as he is a big enough villain to have his own story and movie. Maybe that's what they plan on doing in a crossover with Tom Holland and Marvel? Although Carnage is awfully dark for the MCU's Spidey.

Remember that Woody Harrelson is in this too and they haven't even shown him in the trailers. Seems like a pretty good Cletus Kasady/Carnage to me

Woody Harrelson is definitely playing the villain, but it's not who everyone thinks it is, he's going to be Spider-Man. We all saw Tom Holland die in Infinity War, and who better to be the new Spider-Man than Woody f'ing Harrelson. Venom will be the hero going forward, and Spider-Man Woody Harrelson will be his nemesis.

I must be in the minority, but that looked pretty cool. Has a biological Spawn vibe. And Riz Ahmed, from the little they showed, looks like a promising Lex Luthor villain type.

The opening monologue was weird though - sounded like it was lines from different scenes pieced together.

I liked it too. I'm just excited my favorite character from growing up is getting a movie. It at least looks like they're staying as true as they can without having Spider-Man. Glad they're having the inner dialogue as well.

In fairness, you've seen Tom Hardy deliver lines before.

I'm guessing the people bashing this have no familiarity with the character from the comics and are just weighing in because it's related to a Marvel movie character. But the trailer looks pretty interesting to me.

The first trailer had me interested... I'll probably see this, but after that recent trailer... I've lost a lot of interest, it just did not look good... since when does venom just go around eating people? I don't ever remember that...
