A 51-year-old eccentric white due who no one likes (Leto), and a 36-year-old white dude who's a good actor, but is also kind of bland (Peters) - neither of whom are box office draws by any means - just seems like a super random way to start filling out the cast for the return of a blockbuster franchise after 13 years. I'm not playing diversity police by any means, it's just that neither of these guys really move the needle in terms of audience excitement, to the point where I'm still left wondering who the lead is (please don't be Leto), if there's a younger element to the cast, etc.

Personally I'm more concerned with who they're getting to do the score.

If they somehow pulled off the miraculous and got Daft Punk back together for this, that's your star of the movie right there.

It's bizarre to see what Leto has done to his career in the last 10 or so years.

I think Evan Peters is amazing. I like that hire.

Leto is the literal leader of a cult....pretty sketchy. You'll notice in images of the dudes island....there are no other men but his brother.
