Jesus Jones - right here right now.

I forgot their song real real real, but that wasn't a hit when compared to RHRN.

Looked into Fountains of Wayne and interestingly enough the bassists for the band, Adam Schlesinger, actually wrote the title song "that thing you do" for the movie. That's a strange twist of fate.

Wow, for decades I thought that was originally an obscure The Knack song from the early 80s. Turns out The Knack covered it in 1998. What the heck was the Knack doing making records in the late 90s!?

Better Than Ezra??

If you have a greatest hits album, you aren't a one hit wonder.

Good
Extra Ordinary
Misunderstood
Desperately wanting

Also, one of my Top 5 fav bands

I love Better Than Ezra, I've seen them something like 4-5 times and have all their albums. I also recognize Good was their only real commercial hit. They've put out other singles and some have had small success but overall nothing has come close to matching what they did with Good.

Being a one hit wonder isn't a slam and doesn't mean that the rest of their music is bad. The music industry is tricky, the cards all have to align for any band to get that initial hit single, and can be just as hard to get a second single. There are lots of one hit wonder bands that I like their entire discography.
