The Wallflowers are in no remote way a one hit wonder

I could not name one, and I went to youtube and didn't recognize any when listening. You might have liked them, but they are a one hit wonder. Google "the wallflowers a one hit wonder" and there are multiple pages with different articles and lists naming them that. Sorry about your bottom.

They are without question not a one hit wonder. "Sixth Avenue Heartache" was their first single and was quite successful. They were well known before "One Headlight" was released. "One Headlight" has definitely stood the test of time better, but who knows if it would have even been a success were it not for their first hit.
Just because you only remember one of their songs, doesn't make them a one hit wonder.

Annnnd just because you're the only one who knows any of their other songs, doesn't make them not a one hit wonder.
Personally, I don't call them a one hit wonder, b/c their "one hit" was a crappy song. If he wasn't Bob Dylan's kid, they would be unknown.
Nope, not a sock of PatAg. But, I stand corrected. Apparently they had 1 top 10, and 4 top 40 singles.

I hear "Three Marlenas" on the radio weekly here.
I hear 6th ave. heartache way more than one headlight.
Not a one hit wonder for sure, but you could call them a one album wonder.. all their hits are from the one album.
Ohh I forgot about one of my favorites from 90s, fastball the way, although their other song out of my head is one of my favorites... just not much of a hit.
My vote goes to Stacy's Mom, by Fountains of Wayne.
Reaching.....
That song was their biggest and I'm guessing only hit but their early releases, especially "Welcome interstate managers" are solid. I wore that CD out back in the day. The whole cd is great.
Really surprised we got to page 4, without mention of this masterpiece....
Escape (The Pina Colada Song) by Rupert Holmes
I'll also add Cornershop - Brimful of Asha to the 90's list.
Another 90's hit I find interesting in terms of this conversation is She Don't Use Jelly by The Flaming Lips. Obviously they aren't one hit wonders in the traditional sense with a huge tour following, album sales, lots of critical success, and more success overseas, but that silly ass song remains their only real "hit" single on U.S. charts and with the exception of maybe occasionally hearing Do You Realize, it's the only one you're likely to ever catch on the radio. I love them and they've put out some amazing stuff over a great career, but from a certain perspective, they could be considered one hit wonders.
Looked into Fountains of Wayne and interestingly enough the bassists for the band, Adam Schlesinger, actually wrote the title song "that thing you do" for the movie. That's a strange twist of fate.
I saw a documentary on this a few years ago, based on album sales to hits, the greatest one hit wonder of all time was Jimmy Hendrix. He only had one song the Top 40 (which the music industry defines as a hit).

He's was a one hit wonder because radio wouldn't play his music, but all his albums, I believe were top 5 sales wise. I think even Zeppelin only had one song hit the top 10 despite crazy record sales. Definitely a different era.
I think it's a tie between Your Love and Come on Eileen.
I don't think The Outfield should count. They did have some other success... Voices of Babylon is a pretty dope song.
I'd go with
Tubthumping Come On Eileen Take On Me Macarena
All of those songs were MASSIVE in the years they came out, and were from bands that were truly never heard of again. I don't think anyone to this day knows what the hell exactly Los Del Rio even was.
