I made it through Harvey, I still have power, and my DirecTV is still working. That is, until the sceen previously part of the credits. MFer. At least I'll be able to watch it on HBO Go on my Roku.

I agree. They have to appear to be at each other's throat to have LF fall into the trap, else all of those who he has spying and listening will report back to him. Part of the reason Brienne was ordered to go to King's Landing is to further set the hook in LF.

To be honest, my first thought was that it's a pretty crappy way to drop the Wall for just the reason you mentioned. What was the plan before they had the dragon? Were they going to just climb it like the wildlings? I guess there's no magic in the wall unless the dragon nullifies it.
