So isn't Kurt Russel in this movie? what part was he allegedly playing? Starlord's Father?
GOTG just does not come across well in trailers. I did not want to see the 1st one based on the trailer. But, I went anyway and it was my favorite movie of the year. Same with this trailer.
Yeah this is an intern-quality release. The poster did as much for hype as the footage, though they couldn't have released Doctor Strange with a preview that just pointed to a .jpg for about 90 seconds.

In agreement that this isn't the best teaser, but man, I thought the trailer for the first movie was fantastic.
Guardians was a breath of fresh air to the Marvel Universe. Hope that continues!

This was probably the most obscure IP they have done (now that belongs to black panther) so I assume a lot of people didn't know who they were.
Then it turns out to be one of the best Marvel movies to date.

I would argue that GotG is more obscure than Black Panther. Black Panther has had a few different comic runs and was more prominent in other storylines. GotG had a couple runs but didn't overlap with much of the universe (until the movie came out)
Star lord is the modern day Han Solo.
