Some fantastic lines in this one. "I should have told you someone was tamperin' with your p****." That ending was BSC though. I think Belinda is my favorite character - hard to watch but still made me laugh at times.

That stuff got me turnt up! Put me in beast mode.

She and her family have too thick of Southern/country accents to be livin up in Philly.

My wife is a teacher. Some of the ones she's shared in the past:

A coach showed up to school drunk and drove his car into the lake in front of the high school.

She personally caused a principal to have a nervous breakdown in the middle of a faculty meeting. When he came back he had been promoted to central office and was no longer the principal.

Back when bulletin boards like TA where first around, she and another teacher started a rumor about a new high school being built. People immediately began calling central office asking questions about the new school. Somehow, they didn't fire her.

One teacher accused another teacher of hiding weed in her purse.

She says the nothing on the show surprises her, and that most of the events portrayed on the show are plausible.

My mom was a teacher for like 30 years in a Dallas area school. The whole thing where teachers organize into cliques of "cool" and "uncool" just like the students (maybe even worse) is totally spot on.

I remember that awkward moment when I realized the chick I was doing body shots with was going to be a role model for children in a few short months and that meant that miss conner had probably been a tramp before she taught me how to write in cursive

Not really that happy with the ending. It was all wrapping up way too neatly and these two a-holes are getting away with blackmail essentially. Not sure how Season 2 is going to go when you add in guns and dudes in masks.

I'll still watch it though tons of great stuff in this first season.

I watched an interview (I think with Danny McBride) where he said the show is a drama with comedic moments.

The assassin was not pigeon-toed like Walton Goggins. It was hard to tell, but the shooter looked male.

Neil Gamby has pissed off so many people, it could have been anybody. Maybe it was that other teacher he banged on the field trip?

Essentially, I believe, they just took it back where it started. Hell - 3 episodes in they were dancing in a burning house! I remember posting in this thread that the show was darker than I thought it would be. I guess I enjoyed the finale because it dropped that cliffhanger on you ala Lost with a Longmire look.

To me it took a kind of "Mad Dogs" turn.

Apparently season 2, also 9 episodes long, has already been filmed.

Interesting...of course being made Principals kinda defies the title of Vice Principals now....but they are simply acting co-Principals I suppose.

kinda felt like a premise not for the long haul. i'm ok with that.
