Some terrible shows? I agree.

Firefly.
I mean it's ok, but it's definitely not as good as what the internet fanboys have built it up to be..

Ah yes, SoA. I had almost conveniently forgotten about that show. Fortunately Sutter's show that he did after was axed. FX saved us from more of that.

The first season of SOA was really good. But it turned into a comedy during the Ireland season.
The best thing about that executioner show was the threat that consisted of one poster ttrying to justify watching it.
quote:Mad Men? Seriously?
I don't think the point of the thread was to list shows that most people with a college education would agree are overrated. This is about critically acclaimed shows.
My list:
Firefly
Homeland (1st season was great)
Sons of Anarchy
House of Cards (1st season was great, as well)
Lost
Mad Men
And yeah, the Walking Dead is terrible...and yet I made it 5 seasons through that show

This is a joke right? My sarcasm meter isn't calibrated correctly today.

Breaking Bad can be considered overrated if you think it was very good but not the greatest thing in tv history.

Lost, easily
The best thing about lost was watching everyone justify the series by saying "it was all about the characters"

Mad Men was boring

Wow. Different strokes, different folks and all that, but just wow.

Family guy
The Wire
Both are (or once were) near-universally recommended. I was never high enough to enjoy Family Guy and I tried to get into the Wire twice, but it was just too slow to hold my attention.
quote:Made it through 2 episodes of Mad Men before I realized that every single character was a person I could not give a sh*t about so I stopped.quote:quote:Mad Men? Seriously?

My opinions regarding the show are not exactly unshared. Mad Men is a boring show. I forced myself through 2 seasons in the hope that there was something more to it, but I just never felt compelled to keep watching.

Dear Arya,
Please add the following to your list:
Boy09
Zombie Jon Snow
Dr Not Yet Dr Ag
Out in Left Field

I've never understoof how Walking Dead has so many viewers. I watched the pilot and was completely bored. I see a ton of people comment on how ****ty it's become. (And I thought it was **** to begin with.)
Does anyone that actually watches it think it's a good show?
