Finally saw it.
As stupid as it sounds, especially because it is a totally easy to predict plot twist, i audibly gasped when I connected the dots between the Starks and Bucky's mission. We've known the Starks were killed by Hydra for years...not a big leap to say Bucky did it.
But it still hit me right in the feels.
A lot happens in this film, and I am amazed it was managed as well as it was.
Spider-Man. Yes, please. "Dude you have a METAL ARM?! That's SO COOL dude!". Totally Peter Parker.
GIANT. MAN.
I don't think it was the "best", but Marvel is like Pixar - while some films are better than others, I don't think it's ever made a bad film (Cars 2 excluded...shudder). This, Winter Soldier, Avengers, and Guardians are the easy top tier.
The shift between Iron Man / Tony being the rogue and giving a middle finger to Congress in Iron Man 2 to him being the bulwark advocate for the government makes TOTAL sense.
Likewise, the shift of Steve Rogers / Cap from the good soldier to the rebel makes TOTAL sense in the web of these films.
Well done, Marvel.

Probably not, but any sfx guy will tell you that water is extremely difficult.

Saw it again tonight, think I liked it even better the second time. I will say this is the first movie that 3D has ever made me feel motion sick--I thought I was maybe at a weird angle/not feeling 100% the first night, but I sat where I usually sit and the first fight scene made me feel a little queasy.

It's possible that BP picked tony up, or Cap left a message with someone that tony was there, or tony has a tracker or some other communication device outside of his suit that he could have called for a ride or another suit.
Tony has that robotic helicopter. I'm sure he has a way to signal to it that he needed to be picked up. It wouldn't surprise me if Black Panther took Zemo back to be put into prison.

I don't think it would ever occur to Ant Man to actually lie to Cap. I bet that he would confess to stealing from the offering plate if Captain America asked.
I kinda figured Cap and Bucky went with Black Panther, and left the Quinjet for Tony.

I don't want to spoil anything so I'm not reading this thread, but if someone could reply to this question I would appreciate it: how would you rate this movie in terms of kid friendliness? I have a 10 and 13 year old and have let them watch Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron, both of which were pushing the envelope of what we let our kids watch. Is Civil War right in that same ballpark re kid friendliness?
I also like to think that the MIT staff/faculty greeting Tony was the dean of Greendale after being hired by MIT (and I guess it's fair to suspend belief that the same world where MIT hires Dean is the same world with gods, aliens, and superheros)
