Whats hilarious to me about this whole thing, and I think its been said here before, that both of Feig's female driven comedies were great. Bridesmaids and Spy were original and hilarious.

It sucks that you can't call this what it is: an unoriginal piece of crap.

Bridesmaids was well directed by Feig, but it was funny because of Wiig's script. I thought Feig's writing on Spy was not great. Some good performances in Spy, but the jokes were not great at all (was entertaining, but not many actual laughs for me)

So what are these writers and idiots going to say when the Wonder Woman movie kills it at the box office and does extremely well?

Watched it last night. I think Jeremey Jahns has the best review. It's not as bad as everyone thinks and it's not as good as everyone wants it to be.

The plot is super thin but the ghosts are fantastic. They don't know if they want to be standing on their own or if they want to ride the original's coat tails. The Kevin character should have been left out completely and you never really laugh out loud but you chuckle through the whole movie. Kristen Wigg didn't bring much and could be replaced by "X" actress.

But overall I wasn't Not entertained. I'd could have waited for redbox and enjoyed it just as much. Not necessary for 3D prices. There's not much there for that kind of dollar amount. The Secret Life of Pets had better 3D events.

My wife, her brother and father saw it last night and they all said the same thing. It wasn't bad but wasn't really good either. They all said Hemsworth was by far the best thing in the movie and McKinnon was the only good ghostbuster.

Hemsworth was a useless character. By far. He was a utility for the plot but really didn't add much. The villain was forgettable too.

I liked it. McKinnon, Hemsworth, and Jones all made me laugh. I knew Hemsworth was funny from his stints on SNL, but he played clueless really well.

McCarthy and Wiig served as the heart of the movie and it was hit or miss. I didn't mind the weak third act because the ghosts looked really cool.

I can see why the reviews were mostly positive. If I had to choose between "Loved It" or "Hated It" I would lean more towards "Loved It"

I had some time and went and saw it. I'd agree with that. Hemsworth was made to be a complete idiot to advance the Ghostbuster chicks being overly superior, but was definitely the most enjoyable part of the movie. Janine in the original movie actually surprised the **** out of Egon when they were talking. The comedy in the original movie by the cast, but especially Murray, was no where to be found in this one IMO.

Wiig was alright. McCarthy always comes off to me like she is yelling, which I quickly grew tired of. Kate McKinnon was alright, but I don't think she got a chance to deliver some good lines like Wiig and McCarthy. McKinnon has a pretty good action sequence though. Leslie Jones isn't exactly the stereotyped character like many of us thought she would be, but there are moments of that in the film. I think most of her funny lines were in the trailers, but for me was right behind Hemsworth as being entertaining to watch.

Even though they make Hemsworth an idiot, he did come off as the one person in the film that looked like he was having legitimate fun on camera. McKinnon at times came off as being bored to me.

The villain in the film is utterly forgettable and underwhelming. Wasn't sure what his motivation was to begin with personally, and I don't think it was really fully realized.

Also there is way, way too much science/tech speak.

Overall, while this looks all nice and shiny with new special effect I think it really lacks in charisma and chemistry that the original had. Which is why this falls flat for me. Sure it has a few/couple funny moments or lines, but honestly this wasn't as witty as the original to me. I actually found myself reading TexAgs at one point during the movie, just before the final act.

Excellent. I would say this is a must see for any real fan of the franchise if you can call it that. Fun movie for others as well. Not a masterpiece and rough around a lot of edges. It definitely doesnt have what ill call the smarts ans seriousness of the original, but it is what ghostbusters 2 should have been but failed to be.

Much better than I was expecting.

Fun movie- better than I expected. The ghosts were awesome.

I was sufficiently entertained by this film.

I saw it yesterday and loved it! There were some laugh out loud moments, it was entertaining the whole way through, and it paid homage to the original in a great way. If you judged it by the trailer and are opting not to see it, you're missing the boat on a fun movie.

I am kind of surprised by some of these reviews. Especially people saying the ghosts looked great. They look like garbage in the trailer. Was the trailer made from a rough cut or the did the backlash make them re-do some of the effects? Was there even enough time for that?

It wasn't horrible.

B- . Wasn't great, but wasn't bad. Villain was too forgettable, that was the main problem. Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones should have been given more to do. Was FUNNY at times, but not as FUN as the original.

It was ok. I liked the ghosts and the scene when they were fighting ghosts.

Overall I thought they were trying really hard to be over the top funny. The cameos were meh. The hipster next to me snapped his fingers in approval through out the movie.
