It occurs to me that Littlefinger has a serious life threatening problem. This Vale army likely includes Bronze Yohn and/or Sweetrobin. If either of them speak to Sansa, i don't see how Littlefinger survives that encounter.

Sweet Robin won't do shht, LF has him under control. Royce, though...will be interesting to see what happens if/when LF gets Robin to do one thing and the knights of the Vale know they should do another

I would have thought that the dragons would be much more difficult to work with than wolves. But what do I know, I am not an animal trainer.
I doubt it will be given any attention in the show, but do we think the Horn of Winter really will play a role in the books? I'm in the camp that thinks the horn Jon/Sam found at the Fist of the First Men is the true one, but didn't they just leave it?
Also, I wonder how different GRRM's Hodor scene will be. Could it be in a completely different location and/or against a completely different enemy? Could it be holding the door that leads to the crypts below Winterfell while Bran is trying to accomplish something based on his visions of the past? I know that's very vague and random, but it would certainly be a more intense scene I think if he is covering more than a simple escape.

As far as GoT, I can get why people are upset about the direwolves, they're pretty cool and people like dogs and don't want to see them die. Also like others said, they were portrayed in the books like they were going to play a more significant role in the story, so seeing them die is kind of disappointing from the story perspective. But I was way more effected over Hodor's death than Summer, the show did a great job with that scene it was heart breaking.
I predict Sansa will make her first political move independently of LF, and marry Sweetrobin. Once Winterfell is taken (and the Vale makes their last minute entry and saves the day), she'll have LF either executed or sent to the wall.
Their new alliance should be the strongest in Westeros after that, right? Starks/Jon + Vale + all the minor Northern houses except Umbers and Karstarks > Lannisters + Tyrells ?

But also, I don't think Sansa can now marry anyone or they might not have her. The reasons she was seen as "marryable" for the Boltons was the marriage with Tyrion was never consummated. Thats not the case now it was certainly consumated with Ramsay in a bad way.
But perhaps once Ramsay is dead she might be able to marry again.

Presuming that Ramsay loses his head sometime soon, I don't think that Sansa necessarily gets the keys to the Dreadfort. She has no claim to the Bolton household. The head of house Bolton probably rolls to Roose's brother Michael.
I think everyone still thinks he's dead. Who knows he's alive besides Ramsay?
Also, I don't know if it's the best idea for him to inherit Winterfell since he can't produce an heir. I assume he can reject his claim and leave Sansa as the heiress.

I meant that if Rickon survives Sansa is ONLY Lady Bolton, since Winterfell will belong to Rickon. If Rickon is dead then Sansa is Lady of Winterfell by right. I think Bran's a non-issue, since everybody thinks he's dead and no one has seen him. Now that Rickon is in Winterfell people know he's alive, although maybe not for long.
Based on book canon, I would think Sansa should have control of the Dreadfort on Rams's death. Remember Lady Hornwood?

In the book the horn from the Fist went to the Citadel with Sam. No idea where it is in the show, I just can't remember.

I think this will be done through Bran. If/when he goes south of the Wall, maybe the mark on him will destroy whatever magic is at the Wall and it comes down, or it simply allows the WW to go south.

I know people have a lot of bummers about stuff that didn't make it from the books to the show. My personal bummer is that show King Robb never sent a letter legitimizing Show Jon Snow, naming him a Stark and his heir.
Hm. I was assuming that if they married, she would be in control of the Vale more so than Robin given that he is a weakling and a child. But valid point.

Yeah, it would be nice if Smalljon Umber pulled a letter out of his satchel just before he throws some manacles on Ramsay (and kicks him in the balls) that has Robb's seal on it.
