If you take the theory of R+L= J&M as fact, Meera would be half Stark and presumably have some warging abilities. If so, perhaps she inadvertently warged into Hodor at the same time Bran was warged into him. She was the one calling out "hold the door". Perhaps the "double warg" is what fried Wyllis/Hodor's brain.

Just an observation...
Sansa surprised Littlefinger with her description of how Ramsay treated her, and Kinvara (the priestess) surprised Varys with her knowledge of the details on how he lost his veg and two bits.
So, the 2 guys most renowned for knowing everything were both shown to actually be lacking to some degree in the same episode.

Since I'm one of these people I'll say it's not so much that it doesn't make sense, but more that it doesn't fit, at all. Is this a fantasy story our a sci fi story? There are enough magical things going on that time travel is unnecessary...and thus doesn't make sense.

People complaining about how Daenyrus story is taking so long to get to westeros but want to watch pointless scenes of other characters traveling. I'm glad we didn't have to watch 4 episodes of theon walking through woods and riding on ships.
