I have to say that Signs was one of my favorite moviegoing experiences, quality of the film aside.

We saw it in a not the nicest theater with a bunch of people at a midnight showing. Theater was packed and the audience was really into the film, and we had a couple "Don't go in there!" types in the front row. That would normally be annoying as hell, but in this instance it was someone really entertaining and just added to the experience.

Sitting in an intense movie with an audience that collectively gasps and jumps is just a lot of fun, it was one of those rare times that seeing a film in a theater was truly a shared experience. Doesn't happen too often these days.

I'm teaching my kids the signs theme here in a few weeks as a warm up, and I was considering teaching the darkness main theme also

I thought it was good, but I liked the score more than anything, being a musician, I just have a thing for movie scores....

James Newton Howard crushed that score. What a great opening chord for the movie.

I also thought his OST for The Village was fantastic with the violin soloist
I think one of the best scores for an entire movie is The Patriot... That music is just amazing and moving and simple and great!

Signs showed M Night's ability to really build suspense and play on our fears like harp strings.

To me it was all masterfully done until the final alien reveal. Up until that moment, it was genuinely scary to me. The clicking on the radio was probably the freakiest part to me.

LOVE the opening music over the credits in Signs. Knew you were in for a creepy movie two seconds in.

I had a similar experience. Packed theater, crowd was really into it. Made it really fun.

Everybody LOST THEIR **** during the home video scene, when you see the alien for the first time.

I've been listening to it a lot, and I love the ending, gets so intense, for like 6 bars, then done... Planning on having marimba, vibe & xylo... It shouldn't be hard, it's mainly just triplets

the ending was so bad, ruined the movie for sure.

but I disagree about viewing Unbreakable more than once, it's pretty good to watch again.

This was my experience as well. Another plus was the girl sitting next to me ended up in my lap before the movie ended.

Most people that hate the movie is missing the point and focusing too much on the plot.

I guess I'll focus on the abundance TTs and action sequences.

Why travel impossible distances just to say hello? All about the resources and survival. To an advance civilization we're just bugs. And here we are announcing our presence to the galaxy.

To explore strange new worlds?

To seek out new life and new civilizations?

To boldly go where no man (urr whatever alien race/species we are discussing) has gone before?
