So it's a Seinfeld "She looks a lot like Jerry" situation.

One thing I didn't understand. Why did MM have to sneak off to rescue Brandt? I realize everyone thought Murph was crazy, but once MM showed up didn't they realize she was right, and didn't MM say "hey, we have to go get Brandt?" and wouldn't they be keen to rescue her? They said Murph would be here in a coupe weeks, so MM just sat around for a couple weeks before anyone thought to go get Brandt? And why sneak off? Who would be opposed to it? Take a crew with you!

Just rewatched the trailer and one other moment I frickin loved was him leaving in his truck. The camera placement was NAILS, the audio, the feeling of departure, straight into the countdown. That was a MASTER class in filmmaking.

Similar to when the Joker was sticking his head out of the police cruiser after escaping the police station and blowing the station and either dent or rachael up. Just a simple low tone and the city sounds with a closeup of the wind blowing through the Jokers hair while he enjoys his sadistic victory.

One of my favorite shots of any movie.

Just finished watching it.

I lowered my expectations since I was unable to watch it a few weeks ago.

Definitely blew me away. Loved every second. I Really enjoyed all the human elements.

Just watched it for the second time (at TCL Chinese Theater of all places).

It was even better the second time around.

Haven't read the whole thread, so maybe this has already been discussed. The gripe I had was the black hole scene. The ship is literally getting torn to pieces, so the wise thing to do is eject? That didn't make any sense along with the tesseract in the middle of the black hole, but I get that it's necessary.

Also, when the black hole spits MM out through the worm hole, shouldn't he have been booking it and not just gingerly float around (object in motion stays in motion in a vacuum)?

1) Actually it DOES make sense. Larger objects (like spaceships) are more susceptible than small ones (like humans) to getting shredded by the gravitational tidal forces near a massive object. So when his ship is being torn apart, he can buy himself some time by ejecting. Of course, once he gets even closer his body itself would be torn apart anyway so he's not buying much. (Or wouldn't have, had it been a REAL singularity at the center and not the funky tesseract library thing.)

2) Maybe he WAS booking it! In empty space it's hard to tell.

Just wanted to second that Joker scene, its my favorite shot from that movie, and just about. The way they drop the sound out a little bit into it, and just the reckless abandon of the whole thing. That is him right there.

Coming back to select theaters 2/21

Wow... one of those movies where I wish I got to see it in a theater but I'm kind of glad I didn't. Great movie. I can't really remember another movie that hit me so hard emotionally.

I'm not sure it would've hit me so hard if I didn't have a daughter though but I do so it did.

To the others that had a problem with the way the grand kids received Cooper when he went to see old Murph. They were at their grandma Murphy's deathbed. It would've been really odd to treat him with much fanfare in that situation.

Not to mention, none of them had ever actually met him AND he appeared 40 years younger than his daughter. Might be a little confusing.

And not to mention - they were all extras and likely not the most trustworthy of pulling off the emotional subtleties of such an encounter.

They should re-release Avatar 3d as well. Only good 3d I have seen yet.

Haven't watched this yet but will next week on DVD. I've heard a few people tell me its phenomenal others weren't as high on it. Should I be excited to see it? (I am by the way)

Both born in the UK. Parents got divorced, dad moved to Chicago. Jonathan lived with the dad in Chicago a lot more than Chris did, I think, since Chris was older/further along in school in England. Chris spent his summers in Chicago with his dad/brother, though.

There's also a THIRD Nolan brother who went to jail for a period of time, I think.

Maybe that's what Following was based on.

Behind the scene look at the miniatures used during filming.

Redboxed it today after waiting for it for a long time. Pretty incredible movie. I refrained from any info outside of the trailer and it was definitely a cool journey. Lots to like about it... Story, twists, sound, music, visuals... Lots of good stuff.

The best part being it was an original movie and leaves you thinking after you see it. Very good.

Just saw this movie for the first time and for the past 2.5 hours I thought our world IS dying, I couldn't eat corn all the time, MM looks orange, two years to get to Saturn?, why not put the wormhole closer?, 12 planets...like the disciples....one bad one that looked great in the beginning?, time slows down for no man, and a whole bunch of awesome graphics!

For the wormhole, I always saw it as a subtle nod to 2001. The movie has the monolith around Jupiter, but the novel and screenplay had it around Saturn. Jupiter just ended up being easier to create and film.
