It's merely a data point. But 500+ people ain't nothing, super fans or not. Either way, now we can see if it drops or rises between now and Sunday (or whenever).

I mean I'm excited and it's nice to have the super fans input, I just think it can only go down from there lol.

If this somehow beats End Game ($357.1M opening weekend), the world will no longer make sense. Frankly, I never saw *any* movie beating End Game, at least not for years and years. Especially not a fourth MCU Spider-Man movie with no clear villain in the marketing, two weeks after The Odyssey. This is insane.

SPIDER-MAN box office: While one outlet is reporting $50M in previews, I have a source saying #BrandNewDay is having just a massive Thursday and will generate $70M or more. If that is true, that would break the $60M record set in 2019 by AVENGERS: ENDGAME. We'll know Friday.

I would say the post credit scene didn't lock the writers into a corner. That's for sure.

Yeah, EmpireCity Box Office is the Sunshine Pumper of all Hollywood sunshine pumpers. Every week a new "record" is in danger of being broken.

"Don't look now, but never in modern cinema history has an R-rated movie starring three female leads, two black male supporting actors, a crossdressing dwarf, and a dog opened to more than $50 million domestic on the 2nd weekend in September. But that record is in real danger of broken next weekend! Hollywood is back!"

But still, I do appreciate their neverending enthusiasm.
