I like my alternate-alternate-alternate theory where it's just 93-year-old Cap joining the fight vs. RDVD and he gets killed in the first 15 minutes of the movie.
Would be kinda crazy to see Chris Evans killed in the MCU again. The Porkchop Express said:

Is this the first trailer to mention adamantium? In the first 30-50 seconds, Harrison Ford says "Adamantium is tearing us apart."
Would make sense. It's the strongest substance in the universe. It can tear apart anything.

Yeah that kinda sounds like Infinity War Cap. "Cap without a country" has been done. The people expect it but Hydra Cap is at least a new angle for the MCU.
This is why I loved the theory in the New Rockstars video I linked to earlier. Which is, basically, that when Rogers goes back in time to be with Peggy at the end of Endgame, he eventually can't help but continue being Cap in that timeline/universe as well, which ultimately leads to the futuristic, almost-utopia-esque 1960s of the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. Basically, Cap not disappearing from the '40s to the '00s, and instead fighting on behalf of America in that timeline from the '40s on, leads to a super-prosperous, futuristic '60s. And then, at some point when he's old, jumps over from that timeline - with the help of his friend Reed Richards - back to his original timeline, at the end of Endgame, to give Sam the shield.
Which doesn't step on Sam's toes as Captain America, doesn't lead to rehash of Infinity War via Nomad, and obviously isn't Hydra Cap either.
It's the perfect little sweet spot that also serves to help add connective tissue to the Fantastic Four.
