#TheMarvels IMAX - predictably fun mix of action, humor & heart that #MCU always serves up. But not a must-see. Cast truly shines especially #ImanVellani and fight scenes are executed well, but story is a bit lacking. For the #Marvel faithful, others will catch it later on.

THE MARVELS … on the positive side Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel is a lot of fun. But plot decisions felt like they were just made up as they went. (A lot of, “Oh just do that.” “I can do that?” “Sure.”)

#TheMarvels is breezy and quite entertaining, but it also feels slight. Despite connecting to so many previous Marvel movies and TV shows, it sets the table decently enough. But at the same time, there’s not a lot of character development or weight to the proceedings.

It's fun.
Not super duper INCREDIBLE but a good time.
There's some really dope action sequences and the fight choreography is pretty fantastic.
Just wish the villain was more impactful is all.
All in all, it was a decent time.

The vibe is super excited that these didn't suck. Sure X, Y, & Z is horrible but a couple things were good. Hooray! Now shove it right in the middle of the pack for the MCU's 25 movies.

I saw some this morning that were "fun movie, confusing plot, 5 stars" then a handful of people from both the 1 star and 5 star crowd telling theor audience not to listen to the other side lol.
First movie since my son was born so I'll take the inconsequential fun. That's a win for me. But 2019-Me would be so disappointed.

No one should be surprised that Iman Vellani was the best thing in the movie. She's the only reason that I've considered going to see it in theatres.

Yeah, I'm giving serious consideration to bailing tomorrow. I was hoping for simple "fun" (and seeing it back-to-back with the Loki finale), but the plot sounds terrible, the cameos sound worse, and usually when there's even an inkling of hesitation in the first Twitter reactions, it's almost always worse than they let on, which the 54% now basically confirms. Will see how I feel tomorrow.

Ha, I don't care if it means missing meals, I will set aside enough $$$ to pay for a babysitter + a movie outing at least once every ten days or so.

Just walked out of FILM TITLE with a big smile on my face! A worthy addition to the FRANCHISE TITLE universe! It's always great to see MAIN ACTOR slip back into that comfortable skin of MAIN CHARACTER while NEW ACTOR was a much-needed breath of fresh air, perfectly embodying the spirit of CHARACTER I READ ABOUT ON WIKIPEDIA YESTERDAY right down to their signature OUTFIT/CATCHPHRASE/WEAPON.
The film takes a while to find its footing, but once DIRECTOR gains some confidence, the rest of the film is literally pitch-perfect! Great action, a few CGI missteps, and that cameo, WOW! It doesn't quite hit the same notes as OTHER FRANCHISE FILM THAT EVERYONE LIKED but there are big LAUGHS/FIGHTS and big FIGHTS/LAUGHS along with a few touching scenes that will have you recalling OTHER FRANCHISE FILM THAT HAD REAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.
