Switched to Endgame.

Social media reminded me that it opened four years ago today. Took my son for his birthday and some of his friends and a co-worker who is also a Marvel fan.

It was a great night. Reminded me of Star Wars on opening night in 1977.

TMZ needs to learn what "in talks" means, because it ain't this. In reality, Kunis may or may not be on a list of names Marvel may or may not be considering. "In talks" means an actor is actively engaged with the studio - or - on the verge of on signing and is negotiating deal points, neither of which are happening here (yet, at least).

It starts filming early-ish next year, so they'll have the main four cast by fall at the latest. In fact, it should be a big summer for superhero movie castings in general, as I would expect the Fantastic Four, the new Superman, and the new villain(s) in The Batman Part II to all be announced over the next three or four months or so, seeing as each of those movies are going to start filming end of this year/early next year, each for a 2025 release. So potentially Comic-Con? Saturday, July 22 will be the big Marvel and DC panels in Hall H, and maybe each of the castings will either be announced then, or announced by The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Deadline, etc in the lead-up, and then officially introduced by the studios at the panels. Something along those lines.

Btw, Jodie Comer apparently just dropped out of the new Blade Runner 2099 series for Amazon, and rumor is it's potentially because she was offered Sue Storm. She and Adam Driver *did* also star together in The Last Duel recently, so they've worked together before, know each other, etc...

Since last Wednesday, Mila Kunis, Jodie Comer, Kristen Bell, and now Margot Robbie have each apparently been "offered" the role, according various Marvel "news" Twitter accounts with spotty track records. Sure, one of those names could very well end up being cast, but I'm not going to believe anything until one of the main four trades (Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, The Wrap) breaks the news.

At this stage in her career, I just can't see Robbie doing a Marvel movie, especially as part of an ensemble and not as the sole lead character that a movie, if not the entire MCU, is built around. Not to mention, Robbie having already done the whole superhero thing with Harley Quinn as well. Then again, after two bombs late last year, who knows. Barbie will no doubt be huge, though, and maybe that's enough franchise fare for her.

Either way, yeah, Comer feels like the more appropriate route, especially over Kunis and Bell.
