I guess this is what they meant when they said they were splitting Avengers 3 & 4.

Looks like they completed the upper left half (3), and now have to finish the lower right half (4).

So Captain Marvel is set in the 90s. That should be a lot of fun and maybe even get to see some younger characters we already know.

Honestly, I think they go through all of that just to keep it interesting. There's no way they actually care if people see it. I think making it scarce and giving the hardcore fans a feeling like they have to really work to see it makes everyone feel engaged.

I wouldn't consider Captain Marvel being two decades back as a Wonder Woman ripoff, but I guess I do wonder why it's set at that time. Brie Larson is one of the youngest actors in the MCU, so I guess there will be something to explain the time jump? If she's an Air Force pilot in the 90s, she sure ain't playing a 45 y/o in 2019.

My interest is piqued. Skrulls and Nick Fury. My dream of a Rhodey appearance took a hit but surely at least 0.1% of this will take place in the modern day, since she's likely part of Avengers 4.

So I just read an article quoting Kevin Feige stating that Captain Marvel will be the most powerful hero yet introduced. I'm not that familiar with her so looked up her powers and she doesn't seem to be any more powerful than any others especially Dr. Strange, Thor, or Hulk.

Am I missing something or are they elevating her powers beyond the comics? Definitely seems like they are adding her as the savior hero.

Lets not forget that Captain America: the First Avenger was set in WW2 and came out before WW. If anything, WW is a rip off of Cap 1.

lol, not really a complaint about WW movie because I really did enjoy most of it. It was just funny how the...umm...coincidences.... kept piling up as the movie went on.
