I kind of think Thanos gets the power stone first, and that the Guardians are involved in the battle against him on Xandar for it. I think this somehow leads to them on Earth ahead of Thanos warning the Avengers.
The Collector has reality stone right? (known?) 6
Nova Corps has the power stone (known) 1
Vison has mind stone (known) 2
Strange has time stone (known) 3
Asgard/Hemidahl have the space stone (known) 4
Unknown has the soul stone (known...) 5
My initial thought is that Cap will be one of the first to go in their first match-up with Thanos which would serve to heal the disunity of the heroes and the distrust of the public. Going out saving people or sacrificing himself.
But then again, they kind of played this card in a lesser way with Coulson in A1.

Yeah, I think it's pretty much assured that Cap is going to die standing up to Thanos.
I don't think there's much left in Chris Evans' contract and this will bring his character's arc to a satisfactory end.

Just watching Kong, I think Brie Larsen will be a great Captain Marvel. She plays fearless and tough very well.

I still think Vison is done for, Thanos is gonna kill him by removing the mind stone, and it's the first stone Thanos gets ahold of.
I could see Tony dying in some sort of ultimate sacrifice to save a bunch of people
I don't see Thor, Hulk, Widow, Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Witch, Spidey, or Antman dying.
That leaves Vision, Hawkeye, Cap, Ironman, and Fury.
Maybe someone from GotG, but not Starlord, Rocket, or Groot.

So I thought about this too. If thanos kills vison and gets the reality stone, the scarlet witch is done for as well. Those two are going to die in the same film, as her powers are about "bending" reality.

She doesn't really have those powers in the MCU. Those are more of her mutant type powers. I don't think Marvel is going to really go into the Scarlet Witch / Vision relationship like in the comics, though they have touched on it a little.

I don't think that vision's powers and hers are linked but I think her powers are brought on my the stone and I think Thanos will have some type of ability to get more power by sucking the "life force" from her.
I think she'll just disappear into a cloud of red stuff like what she uses as her power.

SW is basically a powerful telepath and telekinetic in the MCU. Being powered by the Mind Stone, it will be interesting if she can weild any of the other stones if given a chance. Maybe she ends up with the gauntlet and House of Ms everyone in a rage.

Y'all, I was talking about the movies as they relate to tv shows in terms of using alternate reality. Tv shows may do it a lot, recently, but I'm confident a marvel movie would do it even better and no one would think "oh they did this on Flash."
