I remember getting chills when the first page-flip intro came on before Spider-Man. Freaking awesome.

If I'm not forgetting, wasn't it the musical score of the movie over the studio logo?

As a comic book fan, I like the DC comics more. Marvel Studios has shown that they can put out a good movie with anything, whereas DC has shown they can **** up just about anything

Marvel has done well with casting so far but I always pictured Carol Danvers older and harsher as a military officer.... someone like Yvonne S, Katee S, or Emily B.

They've mentioned changing the names previously. It seems more like they're trying to make them each a complete film, though they'll both still tell the same basic story as they were with Part I and Part II.

Another article I read mentioned that this was possibly a response to recent movies not being received as well as a split story.

Yeah, the Russo brothers cited mackingjay part 1 & 2 as a reason. People don't want to sit for 2.5 hrs for half a story.

They said that each movie would be a complete story.

It'll be a made-for-tv movie that sets up a television series. At least, they hope.

Doubt it will be scrapped, but Hunger Games and Divergent might have played out the YA novel trilogy for a bit. Both were unnecessary in splitting a short book into multiple films.

There's plenty of crossover with the Cinematic and Netflix stuff. Having the stories more intertwined would diminish both products by alienating the much wider audience that just watches the movies.
