Yeah, apparently Armor Wars became a movie instead of a show. News of which broke maybe a year or more ago? I haven't heard that it's been killed since, so I keep on the list for now.

If I had to guess they go with Sam. That lets you wrap in him trying to find his dad and that backstory on Nova and the helmet as well as potentially Rocket and/or Gamora,

I'd put money on them going with Sam as well. That lets them add another youthful member to this young vibe they're going for. And I do like his Nova character, that storyline you spoke of in the hands of a charismatic actor could be a lot of fun.

Yep, save for season three of Daredevil: Born Again.

Think of it this way… the rest of this year and next are devoted to a clearing of the deck, so to speak. They're airing the last of their Disney+ shows, with no current plans to make anymore… and then resetting the entire MCU via the two Avengers movies, by getting rid of the multiverse, bringing everything back to one universe, introducing the new X-Men, etc. We're not in a building phase, we're in a remodeling phase.

Then? In 2028, 2029, and beyond? That's when the real forward momentum starts again, with a new, single universe, told via three movies a year, every year, for the foreseeable future.

is there any thoughts on what they'll be building around regarding a central theme? Would it be more global regarding humans vs mutants and the different villains that would pop up from that? Could hydra come back when mutants show up? Would magneto become the next Thanos?

Also…is it expected to have Doom still be around after secret wars?

They should have Doom kill everyone in Secret Wars except the new X-men.

All Feige has said is that the next phase post Secret Wars will focus primarily on the X-Men. That's it. For instance, outside of the first X-Men movie, there's a rumor a that another mutant will be introduced in Ghost Rider (potentially Nightcrawler) a couple months later. Then Storm apparently has a role in Black Panther III at the end of 2028. So, basically, I'm guessing we get an X-Men movie every two or three years, and then they'll sprinkle in a mutant or two in the movies in between.

As for Doom, I haven't heard either way, but because it would cost Marvel an arm and a leg to keep Downey around, I doubt they do. Instead, if I had to bet, each X-Men villain will probably be the primary MCU villain for any given stretch? It's so hard to say.

No one has been cast for magneto yet, correct? Wonder if stuff is going to revolve around him for a while.

Would actually be kinda cool to see him lay waste to all of hydra….think about it….couldnt do the original Nazi story for him but could pull a twist on it and have him take out hydra as retaliation….

They're saving Magneto and Wolverine for future movies. Probably the next X-Men movie in 2030/2031 or so. Then, yeah, I image Magneto becomes *the* overarching villain for a while. Adam Driver is a big enough name, though, that his Mr. Sinister will cast a pretty large shadow initially. No idea if he's signed for multiple movies or not, but he'll at least be the big bad in the first X-Men movie.

You jest but remember the outrage when Heath Ledger was cast as Joker or Robert Pattinson as Batman.

He wouldn't be as iconic but I bet he could do a good job.


My vote is for James McAvoy (after seeing him in Split) but that will never happen.

Agree because they would never recast an existing X-Men actor for another mutant part. That would just be confusing.

Yup, and also sets the story in the middle of nowhere to get away from the very New York centric heroes we've been seeing for a while.

The smart thing would be to imagine the worst person you can think of for Wolverine, and then you won't be disappointed. I'm going with Harvey Firestein.

But seriously, they should do what they did when they lucked into Jackman - cast someone virtually unknown to the US audience.

With Endgame coming back out, decided to use AI to search and summarize posts on Texags, specifically when I had binged watched phase 1-4 and posted reactions here several years ago….holy crap to read an AI's summary of that was fascinating and weird at the same time….might post a few of the highlights from what I got from AI because that crap is way too long to copy and paste….but good memories….

Other consistent posters on here should do an AI summary of their activity on this board….think you could be amazed of how much info it'll share back and could be pretty self-reflective….think of it as a much more reflective "google yourself" for the super smart clankers of today….

Grabbed a nearly sold out showing in Dallas at 2pm, still decent seats but it will be packed

I think if they see the demand there, they'll add more viewings. Almost like when K-Pop Demon Hunters got sent to theaters. My local theater had 2 showings scheduled that sold out immediately. By the time the weekend came around, they had start times at the top of almost every hour.

Got tickets for Endgame at 4 on Sep 25.

Yeah I had to get mine for Saturday rather than my usual Thursday night because of the 1 PM time.

We're going Saturday I think to the fountains cinemark in Houston.
