Btw, this all but guarantees this will be when Marvel announces the new film slate. They haven't even confirmed that Black Widow is shooting (which it is), so to talk about whatever's next, they literally have to announce at least that movie, but I can't see this *just* being a Black Widow panel. I guess it could be a panel all about their Disney+ shows, three of which they have officially announced, but that doesn't seem likely either. So my guess is that they'll announce at least the 2020 films (likely Black Widow and The Eternals), if not all of phase four, along with setting dates for the first three series as well (Falcon & Winter Soldier, WandVision, and Loki).

Not this soon. Not when it's literally still in theaters across the country.

This is basically a theatrical release of a blu-ray.

I'll be passing on this, I already have my blu-ray preordered.

I'm seriously considering this fourth viewing next weekend. Between Toy Story 4 and Far from Home there is a lull for me. This will fall between them and will be a good way to get back in the Marvel mood for Spider-Man.

I'm probably going to go for the extra footage and to do more of my part to help this movie take down Avatar.

Probably not much, for sure. But I've been meaning to see it again so maybe it's a good excuse.

I'm guessing a small scene or gag reel, a Stan Lee tribute and some Far From Home sneak peek footage or something. And if you don't go, a brief description or even pirated footage will be online soon after.

I'll wait till someone on Twitter posts the deleted scenes. I don't want to see it a 3rd time in theaters. But everyone needs to see it at least twice to help take down avatar

Because it's funny to me how many people give a sh*t about something like this. "I hate the current corporate product that's in first place! I want the corporate product that *I* like to be in first place!" It's rooting for one of the biggest entertainment corporations in the world to make even more money; to beat out the other product they literally just acquired. I mean, on a visceral level, I get it; Endgame is the better movie so it "deserves" the number one spot, Avatar doesn't. I'm just saying, I think it'd be funny if Marvel/Disney put this extra, blatant effort into beating their own product, but then came up like two million short. That would be humorous to me, because it's all so arbitrary and meaningless to begin with.

I would have guessed that the run time is the biggest reason it hasn't overtaken Avatar.

I'm impressed by the people who have seen it 3 or 4 times, because I'm pretty sure I would need cybernetic implants to make it through an even longer version in the theater rather than wait for home release.

I wish marvel would just do a Planet of the Symbiotes... and at the end... either show how some escape and end up on earth... which leads to spider man 3... something... don't just throw venom in, make us care bout him the way people liked him so much from the animated series

Vague enough to not really mean anything, which is good. I despise Sony's attempt to create their own universe.

As a reminder: all it took was Tom Holland's well-received 15 minutes in Civil War for them to start announcing their own films. As if they'd learned anything from the ASM series or Marvel at that point.

Spiderman is known for his rogue's gallery and Sony has only given Marvel the scraps. Vulture, Tinkerer, Electro, Mysterio, and the Elementals are all B list at best. Yet, Homecoming was much better than Venom and Far From Home looks to also be great.

It really goes to show how much an impact producers can have on a movie

Which is what they've done in the comics (I assume the animated versions have copied off of that). I wish what they'd done was to follow the original story line more. Spidey gets the Symbiote costume either in a Secret Wars scenario or like the 90's cartoon from a spaceship coming back to Earth and he was the first One to connect to it. Having it go first to Eddie Brock is just off to me. Heck, find it on Titan. An old experiment gone wrong or the Symbiote crashed there years ago and get connected to Peter.
