The majority of those were actually released in Nov/Dec the year prior. They just went wide in January. I'm talking first-run January movies.

I think Thor is a neat character and the actor playing him is very charismatic. They've had a ton of movies to build him up. I would think it shouldn't be a great achievement to make a solid Thor movie. The 1st two were pretty meh though.

I think in this one they're finally letting that charisma show through and have some fun with it.

Thor in The Avengers kind of retrospectively makes the Thor movies better, if that makes sense.

I'm pumped for this one. I hope its 6-year old appropriate, because my son is going to freaking love it.
