Reread all the Infinity Gauntlet books recently. Forgot how great they were.

There's a brief mention of Thanos as the mad Titan, and I think they refer to him as the most powerful being in the galaxy or something like that. Could be wrong.

For the most part, we don't know what the big deal is about him. But he's been manipulating things behind the scenes, such as temporarily giving Loki the scepter and the Chitauri army in order to get the tesseract. He was after the Power stone / Orb as well and sent Ronin after it. So he's had a hand in the events involving 3 of the 6 stones, albeit indirectly.

In phase 3 - most likely Thor: Ragnarok - he'll start to take a more direct approach to things and I think we'll begin to see why he's the "big bad" of 3 whole phases. Unless they just drop the ball completely. But I think they know the criticism about MCU villains and will be desperate to do it right.

So, does he have any of the stones at this point in time?

And what became of the stone in GotG? Starlord still has it?

I do have a question though, the dude in the top right hand corner of that comic with thanos, that is an alien right (blue/red suit)? I know he is in the xmen comics, who is he?

I guess you mean the guy above Surfer (although I'm not seeing any blue in his suit). That's Mephisto, and he is like the top demon in Marvel's version of hell, which essentially means he's the devil. I think you are confusing him with Belasco, a sorcerer who used the Dark Arts, primarily against the X-Men. Mephisto is more known for being the primary antagonist in Ghost Rider, although he shows up all over the place really.

He is similar to Mr. sinister, but he is superhero-like. Pretty sure he has blue skin, he was in the cartoon too I believe. He has a cape, he can fly, has super strength, but is an alien not a mutant...

Current status of Infinity Stones:

Space Stone / Tesseract - in Odin's vault
Reality Stone / Aether - the Collector's collection(?)
Power Stone / Orb - Nova Corps vault
Mind Stone / scepter - in the forehead of the Vision
Soul Stone - unknown
Time Stone - unknown (possibly the Eye of Agamotto - supposedly the Doctor Strange film may involve time travel)


We know that the Soul and Time stones will NOT be in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, nor will Thanos. My guess is Time stone Doctor Strange, Soul stone Thor: Ragnarok or Infinity War. The other films in Phase 3 just don't make sense as to when to introduce another Infinity stone. Wouldn't make much sense for Black Panther or Spider-Man.

It also spreads out the locations of the stones, which makes sense. Tesseract was on Earth. Aether was in between dimensions. Power Stone was on Morag, where Peter Quill finds it. Mind Stone was in the scepter that Thanos gave to Loki, so presumably it was somewhere far away in space. If the Time stone is on Earth, it would make more sense for the Soul stone to be somewhere across the universe, where Thor: Ragnarok is supposed to take place, than having 3 of the 6 here on Earth.

This is my question.... If thanos is so powerful, and he knew where the stone was the quill finds, why didn't he just go get it himself?

While I agree, I would not discount Black Panther.
The character is full of supernatural mumbo jumbo with all his ancestor crap, plus the ties to the Vibranium mines in Wakanda could lead to them digging up ANOTHER stone. Yeah, it is a stretch but not unlikely.

Blade at 27?! That's a good movie, should be top 10, imo.

First Class is too low, would put it at least in the top 15.

Ant-Man belongs nowhere near the top 10.

Yeah, that list has a few issues. Wouldn't put Blade quite that high but it was a lot of fun, certainly better than some of the films ahead of it.

Too much credit given to the early X films and Spideys IMO, and GoTG should be higher.

I don't have a problem with the top 5, but after that it pretty much goes off the rails.

I think X-Men: First Class is just alright. Xavier and Magneto are great, but there are some pretty dumb moments, and two major pet peeves of mine.

Zombie walk and scream towards my dead mother! Banshee cheesy flying. January Jones being terrible at acting. Moira McTaggert having the most Scottish name ever and being totally American (and boring). Cheesy power showcasing, including times where a character will literally say "my name is __, and I can __." Beast looking like ****, plus his ridiculous transformed introduction. That tornado dude that I think isn't even given a name until you look him up later and go "huh."

But my biggest pet peeve is the scene where the kids sit around and give each other code names so you know who they're actually supposed to be. "You should be called Havok! You can be Banshee!" Painful.

It was successful, it got us some awesome Magneto nazi hunting, and it cleansed the palette from X-3 and Wolverine Origins, but... eeeh.

Just my two cents.
