I guess I quit this show at exactly the wrong time. Gave up on it at the halfway point of last season. Now I've read nothing but good things about the second half of season 4, and now the season 5 premiere.

Guess I'll be catching back up on Netflix this week...

Ah, yes, I remember that now. Still doesn't explain Eugene's dialogue though!

I took it to mean that Eugene has a theory of how to destroy the walkers by using an anti-virus..."fire with fire". He thinks he knows how to stop it. Not a for sure thing...plus he has no idea how it started.

If the dude that had the baby held hostage is indeed dead then it'll be a shame. He was a solid character in the screen-time he had.

Ok, yeah I didn't get the impression he knew how it started either. Just a good idea of how to fight it.

I'm not all that interested in the back story of terminus. they're mostly dead and I'm sure the main guy got out. let's move on. no more need to flashback any more.

I'm just glad they didn't spend 5 episodes in a damn rail car!

I stated my conclusion a few posts up. If something I said doesn't match up with how you interpreted it, I would be interested to hear your take.

Mullet head is going to be a big disappointment. I predict his buddy big red will ultimately kill him when his bs story is exposed.

From my understanding is that he worked for the HGP, he suspects the Z outbreak to be a manipulation of DNA from another research group. He said thats what his group did, gene manipulation for warfare and counter-warfare.

He thinks he can solve it with his counter-warfare manipulation.

NO. That's got to be the worst romantic pairing I've ever seen a show try to pull off. I just can't imagine her being anything less than 20 years older than him, and she's butt-ugly.
I'd rather see him with the chick that's missing (Beth?), or with the military chick who wears the hat and occasionally shortshorts.

I guess I need to stop deleting this show as soon as I'm done watching it.
When I do that, it never fails that I come on TexAgs the next day and realize I've missed a dozen things.

Here's how bad a viewer I apparently am:
1. Thought the blonde in the opening trough scene was freaking CAROL until they showed her later with Tyrese! On the one hand I was happy they killed my least favorite character, on the other hand I couldn't believe they started a new season that way. Turns out that was a dude? And he was the guy from the suburban house scene last year? Okay.

2. Not sure if I turned it off before they showed the previews or what, but where the hell are you guys seeing the black guy from season 1?? (the one that Rick bonded with who couldn't pull the trigger in his zombie wife). Major miss on my part, because the only black dudes I saw last night were Tyrese and the alcoholic former Marine member of the group.

It was after the credits in between the show and Talking Dead. Kinda like a Marvel post credits scene. I would blame you or anyone for missing it.

In the zombie apocalypse, I would think it makes a lot of sense to pick Carol over Beth.

Wow, that surprises me. Fair enough, though.

I don't know - she's just always struck me as borderline grandma, and he seems much younger. Plus I'd have pictured him with someone MUCH more 'feminine', not some butch lady.

Daryl's character is supposed to be in his late 20s to early 30s. Carol is supposed to be mid-40s. Still, not odd or repulsive given the environment.

Yeah, Glenn hit the lotto, as did Abe. But the rest gotta do what they gotta so and Carol ain't half bad all things considered.
