He is apparently in it as Mackie's name was on the last poster released and he acknowledged he was in it after the poster was released. We know nothing really about his involvement though

They actually released a press statement saying that Falcon, Heimdall, and Peggy Carter will make appearances in the movie. Now why they haven't been shown, I'm not sure, I'm guessing they have relatively quick appearances in the film.

Seriously, the movie is jammed packed enough for 2+ hours... I can't imagine trying to fit in everybody for a couple minute trailer!

Mainly because he makes the most sense and I think Renner and ScarJo are the only 2 who only have movie-to-movie contracts. Sure, they could off Quicksilver or Scarlet Witch, but that's not going to have the impact of a main character.

I would guess Hawkeye too. Whedon said after the first movie that he didn't know what to do with two super spies with no powers (Hawkeye and widow), so he made Hawkeye a pawn of Loki for the first half.

The one thing that sucks about the episodic nature of the MCU is that we know Cap and Iron Man can't die in this one, since they have Civil War next.

My money's on Hawk AND Quicksilver.

But even if we don't get a lot of deaths, we'll get a lot of breaking-up. Whether that's injuries, mental breakdowns, captures, etc. - it's gonna get real good. Real good.
