The pee wee football episode was just on.

I remember watching that one with my roommates and us losing it when the the Hill's randomly showed up in the stands. One of our roommates had to work so we always taped the episodes and then watched it when he got home and we rewound that scene at least 10 times.

"We drove....miles for this?" became a standard phrase for us no matter how far we drove or where we went.


Edit: VHS was a little black box that had a piece of tape in it that would record audio and video information, Millennials.

Yep, this discussion died quick after season 9 or so. Wonder why...

I've been out of town since Sunday and couldn't find FXX where I'm staying. When I finally did find it late last night it was the episode where Homer is a food critic and I was like "****, we're to the point where they started mailing it in."

The second it hit season 10, I stopped watching. Just like the first time around.

I'm done too.

The bumpers say the episodes will be on FXX Now starting this fall. Does that mean they won't be on FXX - the tv station?

There are a couple worth watching for sure, but they timed it perfect for the gold to fall over the weekend.

Friday through Sunday was absolute greatness.

I have about 60 eps on my DVR now, but don't have very many scheduled to record from now to the end.

From what I understand, FXX will have it on a couple of times a day (like any syndicated show). The FXX Now site won't have them available to stream until the fall.

I was watching whatever episode was on live up through Monday night.

Now, I'm catching up on the ones I DVR'd.

I just remembered that I have "A Milhouse Divided" waiting on my DVR!

I have been watching off and on since yesterday. Still havent gotten to any episodes I have not seen and quite watching 8 years ago.

I think I ended up with about 71 on my dvr, but haven't taped any since Trash of the Titans. I'm not recognizing any of the quotes on the Every Simpsons Ever twitter feed in about 2 days so that must be when I stopped watching regularly.

We watched Cape Feare the other night and my god that was a brilliant ep. Sideshow Bob and the rakes and Homer "Thompson" saying "I think he's talking to you" in the Witness relo office...just hysterical.

I didn't realize how fantastic "Homer Badman" is. (The one where Homer allegedly gropes the babysitter while pulling a gummy Venus de Milo off her ass.)

Brilliant scene after brilliant scene.

The classic episodes are amazing because even the side stories are hilarious. In the later seasons, the side stories were completely unforgettable or absent.
