So ... was the whole Rock/Cody, Rick/Roman, Rock and Roman/Cody deal real ... or was it simply a work from the jump?

Help a brother out… what the hell does that mean?

I think it's wrestling. It's like talking crap to your buddies, competitors, coworkers; everyone is still there together doing y'all's thing, but sometimes the barbs actually cut, still, everyone is having a beer with each other at the end of the day…

I think they had to pivot once Rock jumping in got **** all over. I don't care what they say

I think it's better Cody vs Roman. Rock can say the real Head of the Table wouldn't have lost to Cody and it sets up a SummerSlam match.

That's the ticket. That's exactly what's gonna happen!

I can barely understand Hulk Hogan when he's speaking English, much less when he's talking carny ass wrestling language like marks and shoots and whatnot.

Still not sure what he meant by it. But I think this had gone so perfect the last couple of days...this was the plan all along and we all got swerved when the Rock seemingly pushed Cody aside.

I'm sports entertained, that's for sure. The Rock playing a new corporate overlord type now that he's on the board...that's a gimme story. We've just never seen it happen from the Rock..this is higher level than his late 90s early 00s heel runs where he was the corporate rock or whatever. This has real life woven into it on a couple different levels..the very public announcement of the Rock getting a seat on the board of TKO kicked all of this in motion. Now he's literal corporate Rock instead of a character. Oh, and he's legit family with the dominant storyline of the last few years and now he's redefined that storyline in the course of 2 or 3 days. Implications and layers in every direction. It's fun to watch.

My thought is that it was a work from the jump.

Cody was already so "over" that they knew that not delivering a Cody/Roman match would incite the hard-core fans into a frenzy.

Then they could "reverse fields" as was done at the press conference to try and convince the hard-core fans that their opinions really mattered and caused a change of course.

When, in reality, their emotions were simply being played ... like pawns in the hands of a chess grandmaster.

This comment is for both of the last two posters:

Isn't this why we watch in the first place? The fact that people are confused if this is real or not is a GREAT thing. I too am sports entertained…

I seriously think he and Becky have some sort of bet going about who can pull off the most ridiculous wardrobe.
So… did anyone see what Seth was wearing at Raw this week?!!

A white womens pant suit, a 3/4 length fake leopard fur coat, and the biggest, dumbest sunglasses anyone has ever seen…

Ric Flair greatest overall.

Longest active career, longest peak career, highest highs, most fans, most influential (to the point he is a pop cultural icon). Flair is a great choice…

Sting. Longevity

Goldberg. Affect on the industry at the time.

The Undertaker. A classic.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

I mean, Hogan changed the wrestling business…twice.

Once in the 80's with Hulkamania and again over 10 years later with the NWO.

Legendary matches in the 80's with Andre, in the 90's with Warrior and Sting, capping it all off with one of the greatest matches of all time against The Rock at WM18

Hogan made WWF, and then made WCW

Flair is an absolute legend, and there's a stronger than strong case for him, but I think Hogan is the GOAT based on his impact on the business.

I watched Hulk on cartoons, I watched him in movies, he may have had his own cereal (I know Mr T did for sure), he was everywhere in the '80s.

Who can forget Thunder Lips!

If you just want to limit the conversation to in-ring work, Flair is definitely up there and there's a case for Shawn Michaels..

And in before Jimmy McNulty comes in here spouting his bull**** about Bret Fart, who couldn't even lace Shawn's boots

That's like a trick my dad taught me... as a life-long Aggie and class of '68, he starts sporting events about halfway through. That way he can fast forward through commercials and if the Ags start doing poorly he just skips that, too. Better for his anger issues.

Works great for WWE events that have filler, too.

Yeah...but just like UFC PPV's...then you wouldn't be able to see the exact same promo 14 times. Because the first 13 times never hooks you.

Hey, WWE paid for the rights to that Limp Bizkit or Kid Rock song, and by God, they're going to get their money's worth.

Anyone see Seth Rollins sunglasses at Elimination Chamber?!!

Three lenses… the third one was above the other two like it was covering his " mystical third eye".
