Cody had another nice promo with Roman tonight.

But he missed a golden opportunity when he "asked" for Solo, Jimmy and Paul to exit the ring and let Cody and Roman have the ring.

Think of the pop he would have gotten if he's have said it like this.

I understand I'm talking to the self-proclaimed head of the table. So ... Solo and Jimmy ... why don't y'all step outside to the kiddie table and leave the adult table to Roman and the American Nightmare?

And a better ending to that same face-off:

"So is finishing that story taking the title from you ... or watching as not just that title, but everything is taken from you ... even your place at the head of the table?

Then ... hit the Rock's music.

Vince still found a way to book something that people don't want

The Rock is getting heat? What a babyface pop when Cody pins him after Mania! Gonna be huge.

Cody gets massive rub from the Rock. Then Roman gets to take some time off and come back and chase the title. You've pretty much just booked the main story for the next 12 months.

Anyone watching NXT Vengeance Day?

Yeah, I don't normally watch NXT, but that was a great show. Trick and Melo are going to be stars.

Felt like the in-ring action was way more entertaining than most stuff on the main roster. Actually had some blood and some really acrobatic and risky moves. Very entertaining across the board.

I too watch NXT for the in ring action and moves. I think they're kinda experimental; they're the new moves coming out of the training center getting perfected before being done on RAW and SmackDown.

But the real reason I love NXT is for Booker T's commentary. I'm telling y'all, he's a national treasure…

They brought up the backlash way too many times for me not to believe we're being worked. WWE and Triple H can be this stupid. neither can Rock. I wish it was like this:

CM Punk cuts a promo about history repeating. Here comes Dwayne. Gets in Cody Rhodes ear about not letting management punk you like they did Dusty. Cody crashes the event Thursday and tells Rock ITS MY EFFING TIME with Triple H having to pull them apart.

Cody pulls out his contract and says he is contractually allowed to have his match and tells Ari Emmanuel and TKO I know you don't want another lawsuit alluding to Vince McMahon trouble. Cody gets his match with Roman. The Rock feeling disrespected joins the bloodline. It's like the Mike Tyson situation in 1998. Rock as heals cuts promos leading up to Wrestlemania where he is the most entertaining on the mic

At wrestlemania, Rock turns on Roman. During the match he prevents bloodline from interfering giving Cody clean win. The rock gives the title to Cody holding his hand up. The show ends with Cody and Rock laying out the bloodline. This sets up the Rock Vs Roman.

I like that idea. I've also seen people online proposing that Cody and the Rock could be doing this to trick Roman, where they get him to sign the match contract Thursday but it turns out its for a match with Roman vs. Cody with the Rock guest refereeing. Same result with the Rock running interference to keep the bloodline out of the picture at mania, and then raising Cody's hand with the win like he did Roman's after the Royal Rumble (but this time without boos). Either would make infinitely more sense than Rock/Roman getting destroyed by the fans in Philly and would still build towards a Rock/Roman match down the road.

It also seems like with the PR issues WWE are currently facing and the 2K24 game being centered around Cody finishing the story, they'd almost need to have a swerve planned for the press conference being promoted. Especially with it being in Las Vegas three days before the Super Bowl and hoping to grab some of the spotlight.

Torn between wanting to see the Philly wrestlemania crowd just boo Rock and Roman match and crap all over it seeing Cody finish the story.

Maybe there will be Santa there too, and the Philli fans can throw snowballs at him!

I'll be honest. I liked Seth's promo about the heavyweight championship, and I'd be perfectly fine seeing Cody take that title. Then they can have the Rock beat Roman for the cheap pop, and let Damian cash in immediately and win, giving him mega heel heat.

Serious question: Why does Seth Rollins wear women clothes? He seems to REALLY like women's suits. I can understand dressing like a rockstar, wearing wild stuff, but why dress like Hillary Clinton?

What ShawnTxAg said. The idea is that the WWE could cause that same fan support for Cody by screwing him over a bunch of times and make him massively sympathetic.

To actually plan on that being the case and doing it without fans catching on that it's a work (and turning on the idea) seems damn near impossible, though.

I don't know how many here follow TNA/Impact but Scott D'more's contract was terminated today. He had been president since last year and was executive VP for 6 years before that.

He is replaced by the president of the parent company Anthem.

Saw that, found it interesting considering a recent promo he cut.
