Imo the best way to do it is have him willingly drop the title and just randomly haunt the champions for a decade. They could then do WM matches where he wins the title and just drops it on the mat because he takes more pleasure in wrecking others. Let him assume the role of the new undertaker but with his own twist.

Nope. Not like that. Just hope that it's somewhat meaningful against someone who is a legitimate badass in their own right. I think they've built him up to the point where they are really going to have to build an opponent up near that level for it to make a little bit of sense.
