This movie is superior to 95% of Star Wars garbage produced after Disney bought Lucasfilm excluding Rogue One. Probably better than the prequels too.

Come to think of it, why was he even on the Council? Is their cadre of senior executives so hard up for competent people that they needed a dude that was Jedi home-schooled? What was his role, Secretary of Puberty?

Every Jedi is home-schooled. Matter of fact Anakin had the most life experience of any Jedi before him.

There's a whole academy for them. Well there was, before Anakin paid them a visit.

They're taken as young kids. Anakin was taken in at 9.

They're not home schooled is my point.

Homeschooled younglings would have survived Anakins slaughter.

Still need a short series of Vader actually hunting down remaining Jedi. In The Acolyte we were shown that the Jedi had small outposts on various planets. Rogue One gave us Jeddha, which had a Jedi temple or something. Surely those sorts of places were still around after Order 66 and some Jedi remained. Even The Mandalorian and the Kenobi show had scenes with Jedi escaping.

i loved that movie growing up and watched it A TON….

And I have no idea who that's supposed to be in the middle of that poster…..is that supposed to be Cindels older brother who dies in the first 5 minutes cause the only human male character in that movie is the grumpy old dude….

Someone who is not me bought the $5,999 framed one-of-a-kind painting of Grand Admiral Thrawn from the souveneir store at the end of Star Tours at Hollywood Studios in Orlando.

Even though I specifically told the clerks I was going to buy it sometime in the next 20-50 years.

Man, that was a good time to be a fan. It's weird to feel nostalgic towards the time leading up to the movie, but it was almost more fun than the movie itself.

Talking to my brother on the phone about the trailer and we both pinpointed out biggest fear, wanted to share with the group.

It's that whomever/whatever the villain of this thing is lessens what happened in the OT between Vader, Palpatine, Obi-Wan, and Luke. I'm not sure who the villain is or what his/her/its motivations are, but I really fear it being some "ancient evil" that comes out of nowhere that is ridiculously more powerful than Palpatine was, and that was sleeping or dormant or watching from afar as the events of the Galactic Civil War played out.

Anyone else feel that way?

Funny, in a roundabout way that is exactly what happened. Somehow Palpatine returned and made that entire movie meaningless.

I still stand by episode 7 was a good movie (albeit a new hope copy)

The Coruscant Nights book series kind of addresses this. It also let's you see some of the underworld of Coruscant, thr main character is a jedi in hiding and works as a sort of P.I.

Would love a redo of this but with Palpatine making light of the fact that he returns or how the galactic bank comes to repo something after starkiller base goes down. Also, I wish this clip was canon

there's a "special look" for this on Disney + that I checked out….maybe 5-6 minutes long but I'm hoping this does Star Wars for kids (since Disney took over) what Andor did for adults….after seeing the directors involved im a little more optimistic

He's Back!

Ben Mendehlson on returning as Krennic

As mentioned, the actor will be back donning his white cape from Rogue One. But this time, his competition will be coming from his underlings, particularly from Denise Gough's Dedra Meero, not a Sith Lord or the Rebel Alliance. But to Mendelsohn, it's not even a match:

"If they didn't see eye to eye, to me, it's cute. Dedra versus Krennic? I think it's a bit of a mismatch. They're all underlings to Krennic.

They're all going in one direction. The Empire, if you speak your mind, there are differences of opinion."

An image of Cassian from the new season also came out (see below). Luna talked to the publication about Cassian's journey in the new season, saying:

Quote:

"He's a man fully committed to the Rebellion. It's someone who has to ascend. There's a huge mountain for him to climb in order to [become] the guy we meet in Rogue One."
Another returning "face" is Alan Tudyk's K-2SO, Cassian's droid ally. Diego Luna added the following about their characters' relationship:

Quote:

"From an audience perspective, they've probably made their own story about how Cassian and K-2 got to work together. It tells you a lot about Cassian that his best friend is a droid. And a droid he had to reprogramme. But how did that actually happen and who was he before? Those questions are going to be answered."

speculation that this last picture is on the Dantooine, the planet Leia gives Tarkin/Vader as where the Rebel base is. If you've played SW Galaxies or either KOTOR game, or TOR it definitely fits the colors / topography.

I picked this book up in the Star Tours gift shop after sobbing uncontrollably for hours that someone bought my Thrawn painting. My SW game is slipping because I've never heard of this book and it is phenomenal, an extraordinarily detailed history of the OT with hundreds of photos I've never seen before and a foreword by Lucas in which he sounds like he just took a hit of some bad acid.
